We are proud to announce that the Plant Lipids Nurture Foundation, in association with St. Peter’s HSS, Kolenchery, has officially launched the Nurture Sports Academy—a visionary initiative aimed at discovering and developing young sports talent.
The first edition of our Annual Talent Trials was held at the Kolenchery Sports Centre on June 28, with the goal of identifying passionate and promising young athletes in the age group of 8 to 12 years (Classes 3 to 7).
Nearly 50 students from across South India participated in the trials. After a rigorous selection process, 10 outstanding students have been chosen to be part of the academy’s inaugural batch.
As part of this initiative, we have launched:
- Nurture Badminton Academy – mentored by international badminton star Aparna Balan, who will personally guide and nurture each selected player through a well-structured and focused training program.
- Nurture Volleyball Academy – offering intensive, high-performance coaching for young volleyball aspirants.
Our long-term goal is to identify talent at the grassroots level and provide a platform for them to grow into international-level athletes.
Selected students will receive:
- Free accommodation and nutritious food
- Professional coaching and training
- Quality sports kits and equipment
- Full academic support up to the twelfth standard
The academy is not just a training centre—it is the foundation of a long-term vision to build disciplined, confident, and world-class athletes who can one day represent India on national and global platforms.
With Indian badminton player Aparna Balan leading the badminton program and a strong team supporting volleyball, we are confident that this initiative will shape the champions of tomorrow.
This is just the beginning—and we thank everyone who supported and participated in this inspiring journey. The Annual Talent Trials will return next year as we continue our mission to discover the next generation of sporting excellence.
