Conducted by the distinguished Dr. Surendran N, a retired Deputy DMO renowned for expertise in emergency medical care, the full-day session, held at the Badminton Court on November 18th, 2023, marked a pivotal moment in enhancing our team’s safety expertise.
The program encompassed vital modules aimed at strengthening our staff’s proficiency in emergency response:
- Fundamentals of First Aid: In the course of our discussions, core principles, immediate actions in emergencies, and comprehensive primary and secondary surveys were emphasized as the cornerstone for establishing a robust foundation in effective emergency management.
- CPR Expertise: During an intensive 90-minute session, our team acquired essential skills in Basic Life Support, guaranteeing their confidence in administering life-saving techniques.
- Tailored Injury Scenarios: By engaging in through conversations about various emergencies such as electrical accidents, near-drowning incidents, circulatory shock, wound care, fractures, sprains, burns, snake bites, and other injuries, we have equipped our team to effectively manage a diverse range of emergencies.
- Proactive Emergency Protocols: A detailed understanding of first aid kit contents, body surface area calculations for burn injuries, and other proactive measures were highlighted to ensure a swift and informed response during crises.
Beyond theoretical learning, our staff actively participated in practical demonstrations, scenarios, and interactive discussions, reinforcing the practical application of their theoretical knowledge.
