Aurea Biolabs recently published a study in the Fortune Journals, evaluating the effects of β-caryophyllene (Rephyll®) on muscle performance and recovery in healthy individuals. The randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled clinical trial was conducted on with 110 participants who received either Rephyll® capsules or placebos daily for 30 days. Participants, all untrained in resistance or power exercises, were assessed for changes in muscle fatigue, energy levels, recovery from delayed onset muscle soreness (DOMS), inflammation, and stress.
Results demonstrated that Rephyll® significantly reduced muscle fatigue compared to the placebo, as evidenced by improvements in fatigue index and perceived exertion levels. Participants in the Rephyll® group exhibited lower respiratory exchange ratios, indicating enhanced aerobic function, and maintained higher ATP reserves, crucial for energy supply during exercise. Furthermore, Rephyll® users reported lower pain scores on the Visual Analog Scale, indicating reduced DOMS symptoms. Importantly, the study found Rephyll® to be safe and well-tolerated with no adverse effects recorded throughout the trial. These findings highlight Rephyll®’s potential to improve muscle performance, recovery, and overall exercise endurance in users.
