Plant Lipids observed National Safety Week 2026 with a series of engaging activities conducted from March 2 to March 9, 2026, centered around the theme “Engage, Educate and Empower People to Enhance Safety.” The week-long celebration aimed to strengthen safety awareness, encourage employee participation, and reinforce our organization’s commitment to a safe and responsible workplace.
The celebrations concluded with a ceremony on March 9, 2026, held at the Badminton Court, bringing together employees and leadership to reflect on the importance of safety in daily operations.
The program began with the Safety Pledge, administered by Mr. Adhil Abraham Saju, Engineer, Production where employees reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining safe work practices and protecting themselves and their colleagues.
This was followed by the Welcome Address by Mr. Sabu Augustine, Senior General Manager of HR & Administration, who highlighted the significance of safety culture within the organization and appreciated the enthusiastic participation of employees throughout the week.
The Keynote Address was delivered by our Group CEO Mr. Manoj Marar, who emphasized that safety is a shared responsibility and an integral part of operational excellence. He encouraged employees to stay vigilant, proactively identify risks, and continue fostering a culture where safety remains a top priority.
The Inaugural Speech and Safety Talk was delivered by Dr. Stephy James, Head of the Department of Safety and Fire Engineering at Toc H Institute of Science and Technology. In his insightful session, he spoke about common safety mistakes and essential preventive measures that individuals and organizations should adopt.
His talk covered important topics including first aid awareness, the importance of using proper safety gear, identifying potential hazards in the workplace, and understanding different types of fire extinguishers and their applications. With his extensive background in Safety and Risk Engineering, combining years of academic excellence with significant industrial audit and consultancy experience, it was truly a privilege to have him address our organization. As an institution where safety is treated as paramount, his presence and guidance were especially meaningful and relevant. His deep expertise in areas such as risk assessment, fire protection systems, and workplace safety added great value to the session. The program was further supported by an engaging presentation with videos, making the session both interactive and highly informative for all participants.
The event concluded with a Prize Distribution Ceremony, recognizing winners of the various competitions conducted throughout the week.
As part of the National Safety Week celebrations, several competitions and activities were organized to actively involve employees:

- March 4 – Safety Pledge
- March 4 – Safety Quiz Competition
- March 5 – Hazard Hunt Competition
- March 6 – Safety Exhibition
These activities encouraged employees to demonstrate their knowledge, skills, and awareness related to safety practices.
